Shopping List

October 18, 2021

Things are taking shape in my life and I must admit that I am proud of myself. It has taken me so many years of living in bondage to get this far. The bondage of what people thought, the bondage of what people said, the bondage of what I looked like, the bondage of overeating, the bondage of living in slothfulness (sin).

For so many years I wanted to overcome all of this I really did, but I just could not overcome it. Now that things are changing I am learning to focus on the more important things. I am working out and the biggest step for me was jogging somewhere outside of my driveway, and where people could see. I thank God for helping me to get this far and for never giving up on me.

Now I am ready to focus on a bigger issue, because one of the crucial parts of this journey being successful is the recipes I prepare. Lately I have been focusing on what I cook and how I cook it, but now I want to really narrow down on this.

I have taken time to research foods that are good for diabetics and I am excited to really do this. Today I have taken the time to create a color coded shopping list, and to top it off I researched my stores because I have to keep it on a budget.

I am not only doing this for myself, but for my son and my mom as well. I have to be the example that my son needs to see. Check out my shopping list keeping in mind that I tried to focus on a budget friendly list.

If no one has told you God loves you and so do I…………

  1. One of my favorite time to think about what to cook/eat😂 For you it might not be easy because you need to think about diabetics, but I’m sure you can do it! Keep going Domeka👍💕✨

    1. Thank you it was a bit of a task in fact it took me some time to really research. The other half of it was understanding what foods really make my glucose spike. This is a learning journey but a journey that I am grateful to be on taking care of myself. Thank you so much for your comment it is always appreciated.
