Take A Step Back

There is so much going on in the world I for one growing up as a kid never imagined these times would exist in my life.

Each day I wake up or every second that we breathe I feel as though something else has been added to this ginormous pot which is already boiling and overflowing all at once.

I’ve learned a little trick through it all so that things don’t become overwhelming. I don’t turn my television on especially to the news because it seems as though it’s become the avenue of bad news.

I’m not blocking things out in fact I find myself spending more time in prayer. Prayer for myself, my family, friends, the country, and the world.

It wasn’t until a few days ago that I saw it. It’s like God placed his hand on my shoulder and guided me a few steps back. Once I got there it became easy and apparent for me to see that God is still in control.

Now there’s a different perspective the overall agenda seems to have shifted knowing that there is control if we only take the time to take a step back and observe.

  1. You can only connect dots whilst looking backwards. I second everything in this post. There is too much chaos outthere. Each time i watch world news from my favourite channel i get angry disappointed and stressed bit at the end of the day i can see a trail that this world is not on autopilot. There is God’s hand controlling things and communicating. Only a few notice that.

  2. Too often our lives are dictated by what we watch it read through news and social media. We can take back control by switching it all off and becoming acquainted with God through His word and outdoor nature which brings clarity of heart, mind and soul. We can have peace in the midst of storms and peace of mind through the One who is the greatest mind regulator, burden nearer and shackle breaker – nothing which the news of social media, as hard as they try, can do for us!

    1. Darellphilip your words are very true we have to disconnect ourselves from the world and reconnect ourselves with God, the simple things in life , and Gods laws and commandments something that was put on my heart a few years ago. Life becomes peaceful when things are simple thank you for this reminder many blessings 🙏
