When Working Out Is Done At Home.

For the past year I’ve paid for a gym membership which I’ll be honest I rarely used.

Now that I’m on this journey to better myself, and the world has seemingly been placed on hold. I’ve come to grips that working out in home is actually okay.

I enjoy the fact that I can get up from bed and instantly get a good stretch in. I enjoy having my son home because he’s become my best workout buddy.

Much like the gym my options are endless, and I’m working with what I have. If your someone who has longed to work on yourself, and join the gym but in reality you might not have the funds.

It’s okay because you can actually workout at home. Look around and begin to count your options you can do this I believe in you.

Faith In Uncertain Times

We all know the huge elephant in the room which is going around changing and affecting lives all over the world.

No one wakes up expecting that something like this would be going on and for so long.

The shift that has taken place in our planet all over the world has this feeling to it that we will surely never forget. This one right here goes for the history books.

It’s something that apparently we have no real control over. In times like this it’s important to find something to grab hold on and cling to.

This is where faith comes in during uncertain times. No matter who you are nor where you come from faith is what we are all clinging to.

Faith that we will be alright. Faith that our loved ones will be okay. Faith that one day this will all be over and life will move on faith in our faith.

This is something bigger than we could ever have imagined. Schools around the world have been closed. Jobs placed on hold. Public facilities are not accessible in short life is now lived in hiding.

We believed that we controlled our lives. Truth is that God governs all I mean yes we wake up decide what to wear and how to do our hair. Make no mistake about it God is in control.

Not Giving Up

Today I couldn’t help but to notice something. Every time I make up my mind to change something or improve something about me. Life happens and my focus easily shifts away from my set goal.

So I sat here wanting to fall victim to the same pattern. Get lost in my emotions and completely wander away from my goal. I found myself wanting to feel bad for me.

I’m growing because after I received some much needed advice. I realized that either I change my way of dealing with problems or roadblocks, or I can continue to allow roadblocks to change me.

I then found myself thinking about what I could do to make myself feel better. Like a lightbulb I reflected on that advice, and realized that the best thing I can do for myself is to never give up.

There comes a time in life when we have to sit and look around us. The world isn’t always going to greet us with open arms. In fact sometimes it will punch you right in the gut.

People aren’t always going to accept or love us. Some people will spitefully hate us for no reason at all. The important thing to remember is staying true to who we are, and never giving up on our selves, our dreams, our goals, and our journeys.

Speak life in all your circumstances and situations. Have faith and believe that through God you’ll have victory. You’ll make your mark, achieve your goals, and those who once taunted you, talked about you, laughed at you, mocked you, hurt you, damaged you, used you, abused you, and walked away from you will realize that it was their loss and your ultimate gain.

So I’m not giving up but instead I push myself even harder. Seek out new things I can do to enhance my journey. Greatful for each step and lesson taught and learned along the way.

Happiness at its best growing through faith, trials and errors greatful for the journey.

Recenter The Journey

I started this blog with the intention of bettering my health, loosing weight, and improving my fitness level.

Somewhere along the path life got busy, and took unexpected turns. Most days my time was filled with running errands and getting everyday things done.

I managed to loose track of making time for myself and this journey that I embarked on. No matter what I’ve always had that one person remind me of what I set out to achieve and I’m thankful for every word he spoke.

A seed was planted and watered it began to grow within me without me knowing it. Recently I came across an individual on Instagram who is in the process of working on his dream and vision of helping others.

From the start it was obvious that he was into fitness. I was more than elated when he suggested a workout routine for me to complete four times a week.

His response was quick, sure, simple, and customized to work around what I have to offer myself at home. I even love the fact that it’s a workout that not only I can do, but my son has joined in as well.

Not only are we working out together but it gives us much needed time together to focus, have fun, and enjoy each other’s company I love my son.

Has been more than willing to help water the seed planted, and help me recenter the journey that I embarked on.

I wake up each morning knowing that with times like these and being quarantined. I can focus on my journey and get started, even though the gyms are currently closed due to the virus. I am able to get a good workout in at home.

The first thing I do is prayer and worship then my son and I go right into our customized workout routine courtesy of

Going into my second week of training and I can already tell a difference. I find myself having more energy, wanting to workout and spend amazing time with my son. Watching what I eat, portion control, and focusing on a clean diet.

This has been exactly what I needed someone to come and nurture the seed that was already planted. I’m thankful that God allowed me to come across

Front Line Workers

God Bless the front line workers. Those whom have no choice but to go to work so that stores can stay open, children who have no food at home can get fed, Doctors who are fighting hard to help patients, police officers, construction workers, security guards etc. Let’s make sure we keep these people in our prayers. It is daily that they wake up and sacrifice by going to work.

Happiness isn’t defined by what we have. It’s the measures taken to spend time with the ones you love. The process of learning each other and growing together. It’s the hours spent doing that thing you love, and the full enjoyment of life.

Time With My Son

Spending this time with my son. Movies, games, arts n crafts, stories, etc. Making the best of hard times, and even though were inside. Just being together, having fun, worship, prayer, and scripture helps.

Trying my best to help him understand what is going on. While still allowing him to be the kid that he is.

Finding Yourself

When you find yourself and learn to love you unconditionally. Life begins and all of the bad things that took place in the past no longer matter.

You forgive without hesitation, and pray for those who hurt you. This is what it feels like to truly let go, and move on with life.

Creating your mark in the world knowing that someone will find it. Loving yourself as you’ve never loved before.

Good morning Sunday

Look Up At The Cloud’s

Most times aside from work If I’m looking for my brother I know where to find him. No matter where he is or what he’s doing he makes time to look up at the clouds.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Listening to the stories my brother tell about his cloud gazing. It becomes obvious that the sky itself is worth more than a million.

I’ve seen pictures which he’s captured, stood next to him as he points and gazes. I’ve even heard his stories that never fails to amaze me.

Look up at the clouds my brother always says. There you’ll find many stories waiting to be told. Pictures waiting to be painted. Memories waiting to be shared.

Look up at the clouds…….
